BOBROVSKY BRIGHTENS UP PHILADELPHIA

…What can you say about Bob?  22 wins, a .920 save % and a 2.48 GAA has the Flyers riding high, and Bobrovsky on the short list as far as Calder Trophy Candidates are concerned.  He’s currently at his career high with 34 starts in a single-season, so I’m very interested to see how he holds up the rest of the way.  Hopefully it will result in multiple pieces of hardware for the young Russian.

THE HOCKEY NEWS: NORRIS TROPHY WATCH

…Admittedly, I am bias, but it’s hard to imagine not even a slight mention of Andrej Meszaros on this list.  He’s been so crucial the Flyers’ success and it’s hard to imagine that his name isn’t at least mentioned amongst the Honorable Mentions.

With that being said, Meszy had been labeled as an “overrated” player due to his lack of production in Tampa, and has to earn the rest of the league’s respect back.  So far this season, so good for #41, the league’s leader in +/-
